Can you tell the difference?

Both designed in Canada but which is made in Canada?

Exhibit A: City of Neighbourhoods toques.

Exhibit A

Exhibit A: City of Neighbourhoods toque by Tuck Shop Trading Co. available for $38 at Love the Design.

Exhibit B: The Provincial toque.

Exhibit B

Exhibit B: Arborist Provincial toque, available for $24 (or $12 for Boxing Week) at the Drake General Store and The Bay.

If you guessed Exhibit A, you’d be correct. Both toques are designed in Canada, but only the City of Neighbourhoods toque is made in Canada. Not only are these toques “proudly made in the great white north”, they’re made right here in Toronto. And if their clothing line doesn’t take off, they can definitely fall back on their film-making talents. For a good laugh, checkout this video clip on the frustrating Toronto brunch experience! Could City of Neighbourhoods productions become the Portlandia of the North? Either way, I’ll be sporting their toque on the slopes this season. Gotta represent the hood!

  1. So glad to see you feature Tuck Shop Co. on the blog… I love their toques so much. Unfortunately I don’t live in the hippest Ottawa neighbourhood, so they don’t have a toque for me, but I may have to get one at some point this winter.

  2. You may have to get one from your old hood in T.O…either that or move… 🙂

  3. I forgot to mention that Tuck Shop Trading Co toques are also available at new fave store Spruce! Sign of a good shop! 😉

  4. And also available at Sporting Life! 🙂
