Down the street from Mr. Cement Foot (see my previous photo challenge entry), I find restaurant staff getting ready for the dinner rush. The walls and well-worn floorboards mirror the idea behind this earth-to-table resto — a return to the past. For the chef, this means eating seasonally as our ancestors did. For the designer, this means reusing and repurposing. A win-win for our health and environment. Spotting empty seats along this strip is a rare sighting, which doesn’t last long. Shortly after I take this shot, a couple pulls up a seat to trade foraging secrets over their microbrew.
